Throughout the past 12 months health and safety have been foremost in this store. They provide the things people need most every day. Coontail does this with friendly competent service. No need to travel out of town every week. Of course there will always be some stuff that needs to be purchased in the big city (or online). But Coontail has the stuff we use day to day and we appreciate the way they responded during the pandemic. We are (hopefully) past the COVID pandemic, but we will not forget how helpful the Coontail was during that time. This is our store. 10/11/22. Continuing to shop most of our food at this store. They generally have what I need and I only drive to Minocqua 1-2 times a month. Open early and late. They have live bait. Where else do you need to drive with gas at $4 per gallon. Oh … I get 50-60 cents of per gallon with the coupons I get at the Coontail. 5/12/23. Ownership change has not disrupted the friendly service and store continues to stock the items I need and want. Fuel discounts continuing. I remain a happy customer. 4/3/2025. Two slow winters in a row have bent a lot of vendors to the breaking point here. But Lakewood Market has continued to provide fresh produce and all typical high season foods all winter. Beer cave is very well stocked. Gas is fairly priced. I only go out of town for highly specialized ingredients. New sale pricing is welcomed on many products
