We knew we would encounter asbestos in various forms as we went through our own updates, so we quickly enlisted The Healthy Abode when we started on the kitchen. The vinyl flooring testing experience was quick and seamless from start to finish and the team at The Healthy Abode went above and beyond with their thoroughness and responsiveness to any questions we had. We particularly appreciate that this team only does testing, so even though they have abatement professionals they can recommend, you’re getting a level of honestly and trustworthiness from them that you really can’t get from a company that does removal as well. We had quite a pleasant experience in what could have been a stressful situation and we won’t hesitate to hire them again as we continue to update our home!

This has been our 3rd time using Healthy Abode for asbestos and mould testing. From the time of booking to the final results and follow up, Angelina has been amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and polite and courteous is all communication. Vince and Liz who have been to our homes to carry out the testing have also been very accommodating. They really are a genuinely nice team ( and I’m not related to them and don’t benefit from this review 😉) I have recommended them to any friends and family that need this service and would use them again without hesitation if needed. Hands down, the best in the business.

We had unfortunate water seepage and had to get mould assessment done and contacted few companies and selected The Healthy Abode based on their approach and feedback. They were flexible and arranged to attend the unit and were very professional and thorough and unbiased how they did things and worked together with us as a team to provide names of few companies who could help with emergency work and rebuild. They also advised us on what we could/should do and Angelina was always available to speak with us and hold our hands during this difficult time. She and her team went above and beyond their call of duty and kept on advising us on other non-mould related work. She also interpreted the air sample reports for us and educated us on what the report meant. Most of all, they provided personal service in a timely fashion. I highly recommend Angelina and Elizabeth for mold air testing. Their expertise, knowledge and thorough approach is unparalleled. They both make what can be a stressful situation feel manageable. We had originally hired another Toronto-based mold inspection company who was available a bit sooner, and felt that their inspection was not adequate. We asked The Healthy Abode to provide a second opinion. Elizabeth’s inspection pointed out visible mold, water damage, and possible points of water entry needing repair that were completely missed by the other company. I will be using the Healthy Abode for any future testing needs.

When one result came back positive, they provided several recommendations for organizations for remediation. They were our first step in moving forward with safe renovations in our 1960s house.
