Rick and Chris in the service division dogedly pursued the manufacturer and surprised the heck out of me...they were successful! Leak fixed and a fraction of my original estimate. Rarely I have experienced so amazing customer service. We are new homeowners in Winnipeg and still live out of province. It's stressful to navigate all that needs doing including getting a new hot water tank. Victoria Friesen, Service Dispatcher, was exceptional in helping me learn about the options for our hot water tank replacement and caring for our overall heating and cooling systems. Her communication was clear, efficient, knowledgeable and patient. The installation job was completed without a hitch. We still have a furnance and service check to come and Victoria also set up our appointment with one of their partners to get our heating ducts cleaned. I feel relaxed about have peace of mind about these jobs because I experienced such care and attention to detail from Victoria. Balcaen & Sons has my highest recommendation. Thank you!

Good day, I am very Furious right now I had just talked to a CSR by the name of Roger, Got into heated argument, I was getting very frustrated with his concerns his answers as to where he hung up on me.Which was very rude, He still didn't answer my question. My question is now that hydro did their inspection are we done now with all the inspections does the furnace pass can I do what I want now. This stems from a mistake I made in the beginning where I moved a plug they installed out of the way and pinned it to the cold air return, couple of days later City of Winnipeg did their inspection when asked the city guy told me everything is good, next day you people show up to do an follow up inspection. Upon the conversation I had with the person that was there told me city of Winnipeg failed the inspection because of that plug I moved so he moved the plug back charged me $300 then left, now hydro was here did their inspection but When asked he said everything is fine. If all the inspections are done I want that plug moved being it is in a stupid spot for one.- it's on a support post for my stair- two -It's in front of my furnace which allows a cord to go between the furnace and support post and on the floor, this is in the path of the walkway to my water meter in which case it's a tripping hazard and I don't want a cord on the floor because of the Damp floor in the springtime. I would like that plug to be moved behind the furnace and the cord off the floor but I'm told that you people are going to charge me again to move it I shouldn't be charged to be moved because you put it in the stupid spot to begin with. If I would have known that they were going to put that plug in the spot that they chose I would have told them no way I feel that because I have to move it again you people owe me $300 which is outrageous to begin with. I'm going to have to stop here before I really get carried away As I was doing with Rodger.

Balcaens really came through for us when I boiler broke down during one of the coldest days of the year. They were prompt, provided expert advice and service and were just so pleasant to deal with. Very fine and timely work - very highly recommended.

A drain specialist from Balcaen & Sons came to assess and fix our drain today and we had a great experience. We reached out only 2 days prior via email and were offered apts as early as the following day which was great. The specialist was friendly, professional, took the time to show and explain to us the clog and thoroughly cleaned everything. They gave us some suggestions for ongoing care/caution and overall we were very happy with the service. A clear quote was also provided at the time of the apt request and we thought the pricing of the service was very fair. Would definitely recommend B&S and would use again for our future plumbing needs!

Highly recommend Balcaen and Sons! I recently had them replace my furnace, AC and hot water tank. Omar was very friendly and informative when helping me select the right products for my home. Omar came and did the assessment for a new furnace. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable. Answered all my questions. The team of Stephen & Denny did the install after removing the old furnace. They were great. They made sure I knew everything about maintenance when they finished. Left everything clean and took away all the old stuff. Highly recommend.

I have never had anything but an absolutely positive experience with Balcaen and sons. They come on time, always solve the problem, are super efficient, clean up after themselves and are very careful to make sure they don’t make any kind of a mess around their work area,…..and they send super nice people.

Balcaen and Sons replaced out 112 year old boiler. They were great at assessing our problems, their installers were professional and they provided a state of the art system. Highly recommend using them for old boiler replacements.

This was one of the best trades experiences I ever had Not only did they not charge me the initial service call ( I was calling about a furnace issue as I just purchased a home and the furnace seemed dysfunctional) They gave me a written service report for $1500 for the furnace and with no pressure what so ever to get a new furnace ( I just to just get a new furance with the MB hydro program) They got it done and promptly like the same week and although they had to come back to inspect my garages gas heater unit( the guy relcutantly charged me) I had been reimbursed within this charge as they were technically supposed to do it the same time as the furnace was being installed and + the cold air intake vent was supposed to be removed and they understood this Tom H is the man

We just had an incredible experience working with Balcaen in replacing our steam boiler with a hot water system. I was extremely impressed with how creative the team was in finding radiators to match our house and in coming up with an installation plan that minimized damage. I have no hesitation in recommending them for any work involving a boiler.
